How to Fix “Update your app” on Vanced

Vanced is a third-party app for Android that allows users to watch YouTube videos without ads.

However, there is an issue with the app's data that prevents it from updating, causing the "Update your app" error message to appear.

Additionally, YouTube periodically discontinues support for certain versions of Vanced, such as the 15.xx.xx versions for specific Android versions, or recently some 16.xx.xx versions.

There are three solutions to this problem: clearing the cache and data of Vanced, downloading the latest version of Vanced, or downloading an older version of the app.

To clear the cache and data of Vanced:

  • Go to the Settings app on your Android device.
  • Navigate to Apps & notifications > Sell all apps > Vanced.
  • Go to Storage > Clear data > Clear cache.
  • After clearing the cache and data, try opening the Vanced app again.
  • Note: This process will need to be repeated each time you open the app to avoid getting the "Update your app" error message.

To download the latest version of Vanced:

  • Visit https://vanced.en.uptodown.com/android.
  • Tap on the "Latest version" button.
  • Tap on the "Download" button.

To download an older version of Vanced:

  • Visit https://vanced.en.uptodown.com/android.
  • Tap on the "Older versions" button.
  • Select an older version of Vanced.
  • Tap on the "Download" button.

With these solutions, users can resolve the "Update your app" error message in Vanced and continue to enjoy ad-free YouTube videos.
