While the last year was quite active for the crypto money sector, the NFT sector also got its share from this activity. Web3 technology continued to play an important role in 2022 as NFTs grew. A new DappRadar report on blockchain and decentralized application (DApp) adoption in 2022 revealed that NFT sales reached 101 million last year.
The DappRadar report revealed that the number of NFT sales reached 101 million last year. This was an increase of 67.57 percent compared to the previous year. According to the report, Ethereum has managed to hold the top spot in the NFT industry, holding 21 percent of the market share and more than 21.2 million transactions processed.
Additionally, the report highlighted that Ethereum and Cardano are the blockchains with the most active developers working on-chain with 223 and 151 active protocols, respectively. Modular blockchains such as Polkadot and Cosmos increased their network developer activity by 16% and 131.7%.
At the end of last year, China announced the first national NFT market to serve as a market for the exchange of crypto assets.
