OUR FIRST RECIPE
Classic Chocolate Cake:
Ingredients:
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add in the eggs, buttermilk, warm water, oil, and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Frost and decorate as desired.
OUR SECOND RECIPE
Flourless Chocolate Cake:
Ingredients:
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt together the chocolate chips and butter until smooth.
Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
Stir in the melted chocolate mixture and cocoa powder until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared springform pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft.
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
