What İs The Difference Between Botox And Filler Injections?

Botox and fillers are both cosmetic treatments that are used to improve the appearance of the skin. However, they work in different ways to achieve different results.  Botox is a type of neuromodulator that is injected into the skin to temporarily paralyze the muscles that cause wrinkles.

It is most commonly used to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes. Botox works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the muscles, causing them to relax and preventing wrinkles from forming. The effects of Botox typically last for 3-6 months before the treatment needs to be repeated.

Fillers, on the other hand, are substances that are injected into the skin to add volume and smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. The most common types of fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that is found in the skin.

Unlike Botox, fillers work by physically filling in wrinkles and fine lines, rather than paralyzing the muscles that cause them. Fillers are commonly used to add volume to the cheeks and lips, and to smooth out wrinkles around the nose and mouth. The effects of fillers typically last for 6-12 months, depending on the type of fillers used and the area treated.

In summary, Botox relaxes the muscle which cause wrinkles and fine lines to prevent from forming, while fillers physically fill in wrinkles and fine lines.
