In June 2022, an altercation between a customer and a manager at Petawawa KIA SUPER STORE was caught on camera and shared on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.
The video, which shows the manager pushing open a door and shouting at a customer before the customer tackles him, went viral. In 2023, the video was circulated again on social media.
According to an official statement from Petawawa KIA SUPER STORE on Facebook, the manager was fired for his behavior. The statement read: "On behalf of Petawawa Kia, we extend our sincerest apologies for the serious and inexcusable misbehavior of our former Floor Manager.
We strive to provide excellent customer service and expect the highest form of ethical conduct and customer service from all of our employees.
We hope that this incident isn't a reflection of the majority of positive customer interactions and experiences at Petawawa Kia and that we can continue to earn your business and trust.
We can assure you that the former employee has been terminated and is no longer working for Petawawa Kia.
